Will I have problems fitting this wheel & tire set-up on my 2007 Lexus build? I'm trying to do what I call a "hybrid lift" that is, I'm putting in a 2" Toytec preloaded spacer lift in front so I can keep my stock electronically controlled dampering suspension system. In the rear, I'm replacing the stock airsprings with Airbagman 2" extended airbags, adjusting the ridehieght sensor to level out 2" while in "Normal" mode and adding 2" rear shock extenders made for the Toyota Landcruiser Prado. Then I'll add Timbren Off-road bumpstops to account for the shocks lack of down travel. That way I won't have any dash warning lights. Please note, I will not be doing any serious off-roading. I just purchased Method 305's 17x9" -12 ofsett wheels and Falken Wildpeak MT01's 285/70's (32.9"x11.2"). I currently have stock UCA's and LCA's. I'm prepared to trim, but want to keep my factory running boards. Any advice?

It doesn’t sound too bad…you need to figure out how to get the caster around 3.5* or so, trim the wheel well liner and trim the factory running board.

I ran 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers (32.76” by 11.5”) on 17x9 -12 wheels and no BMC and no pinch weld hammering.

I did run 3.7* caster with trimmed liners, TC UCAs, and rock sliders.

I only rubbed on the frame and sway bar on full turns like when making a u-turn or turning into a tight spot and only on the drivers side

Eventually (after a few years) I removed the front sway bar and all my rubbing at full lock went away. But rubbing at full lock was not a problem since I didn’t have to make u-turns that often.

Are you sure that 17 year old suspension still good? Good idea for new vehicle but bad idea on 17 years old vehicle.
I would save my money and buy replacement suspension.

Try your best not to cut the fender liner. Heat it with heat gun and pull it forward. That is number one reason people hydrolocking their engine crossing small puddles.

Good points.

On the trimming of the liners…I pulled them forward as much as I could…then trimmed a small piece of the liner to make it fit under the front bumper…but don’t trim too much. I cut maybe 2” at the bottom…nothing that would expose you more to hydrolocking

All good stuff guys! Well, I got the suspension done. Just a note, the shocks I used are all new, as are the Airbagman extended airsprings. It came out good except the frame bolts that hold the height sensor bracket on the driver's side both broke off in the frame, so I had to drop the gas tank, drill and re-tap the holes. What a PITA! My wheels don't come until tomorrow, but my new measurements from center of the hub to bottom of fender are as follows: I got about 2.25" of lift in the front from the measurements I took before I did this (just a hair under 20").

FD: 22.25"
FP: 22.1"

In the rear, after adjusting the height sensor for a barely noticable rake on "Normal" it goes a hair over 24" in High:

RD: 22.75"
RP: 22.75"

The damper control def works as before. Goes from pretty soft to real stiff in sport. Also, I got my tires, and they're HUGE! It honestly doesn't look like they'll fit at all...lol! I'm waiting on the alignment until I get my new wheels & tires on, but it pulls every so slightly to the right, barely noticable. I don't drive it anyway, so not an issue. Does all that sound about right? I haven't seen anyone who did the lift line mine in the forums, and this is my first Toyota/Lexus, so I'm looking to you guys for advice. Thanks!
