I got a chance to take my Cruiser offroad this weekend with the High Desert Cruisers. We went up to an area called Guaje Canyon near Los Alamos. I really had a good time and got a chance to see a little of what the FJ Cruiser can do. The guys from High Desert Cruisers helped me over a lot of the harder stuff, but I felt fairly comfortable for my first real wheeling adventure. All in all, the truck did fairly well. The stock sliders and skid plate took a bit of abuse on some of the bigger stuff, and my alloys will never look new again... but in my opinion I think they look better
My truck is stock with the exception of some Mickey Thompson MTZ's in stock size. Here are a few pics of the "gate" into the area:
