We've recently added the high lift jack, spotlights, and I'm gonna get him a winch for Christmas. We also switched the tires to show the white letters

Good looking trucks! Welcome - hopefully Ill see ya on the trail someday.

Thanks. How many Texans are on here? We should do a group get together or something

Sweet P38

Are you on rangerovers.net forum yet?

I have a detailed write up on how to install a Disco II ARB bullbumper onto the P38 if you are interested?

you know, i've always liked the look of the Land Rover Discovery and the inside were awesome.

what is your experience with reliability?/

i guess these threads move a bit slower.....lol.

anyway my question is legit, i would really like to know what or if any maintenance you've done. There are a few people in this forum that have had great experiences with their Discos and some that have not...

Going to SCARR?

Thanks. How many Texans are on here? We should do a group get together or something

I'll see you at SCARR next month but I'll be in my LX450. I sold my '95 Disco and '95 Rangie Classic a few years ago but I'm in the market right now for another Rover.

The company I work for, Texas Land Rover Service, is one of the SCARR sponsors and I'll be heading up with some goodies.

I owned a '95 Disco and really liked it. What I've found with Land Rovers is preventative maintenance is a MUST. You can get away with a little neglect on a Toyota but not a rover. I was religious about maintaining my Disco and it served me well. It NEVER left me stranded and overall, my experience was very good. I've heard many others complain about their reliability. I'd ask how often they changed the oil in the diffs or transmission and they'd admit they never did. If you see a cracked or leaking hose on a rover, then replace it. Don't wait for it to blow because it will. Follow those steps and you'll be a happy rover owner.
