With the extreme collection of skill and brains on this site I was hoping some one could help me out on repairing a grill.
I'm cheating on the cruiser and working on my truck and would like to find a way to fix the damage to my grill. I attached a picture of the hole. I was thinking about filling it with solder and polishing it up. Any thoughts? Also any suggestions on what I can use to polish it up and try and get a lot of the pits out of it?
Hope it's ok to ask this here. Thanks for your help.

What material is it made from? If it's steel use a mig welder. If it's aluminum you'll have to find someone with a TIG welder or a spool gun attachment for a MIG. If it's plastic you'll have to buy some sort of epoxy clay. POR-15 sells it and it is good stuff. I've used it in the past to repair cracks in steering wheels with great results. It sands almost like body filler and gets rock hard since it's a two part mixture.

Here's a link to the epoxy http://www.tcpglobal.com/AutoBodyDe...temNo=POR+PU&gclid=CKGL-cq8-rMCFUKd4AodEVwAFA The stuff is really versatile and you'll have plenty left over to use in the future. You'll have to obviously paint the grille, but that would proably be the case for whatever course of repair you choose.
