First post.... Purchased a two tone white/silver 2000LC with 150,000 miles on it about a month ago. She has been christened Bianca (white in Italian). I am rejoining the ranks after an eight year hiatus from LC ownership. Bianca's predecessor was an '91, named Blanca (white in Spanish) and died an inconvenient death about two weeks before my move back to the Santa Barbara, CA area. So I sold her, and I regretted it for eight years. Having returned regal grandeur that is an LC, so far I have to say that the 100 series is way better for my purposes. The highway driving in the 100 is soooo much better with the v8 than the 91 ever was. It isnt even comparable in my opinion... That's big because Bianca will be geared toward Overland type stuff / mild off road not rock crawling etc.
So far what I have done to Bianca is mostly the convenience upgrades... Pioneer car play, weather tech floor mats, air filter insertion, rear/front cameras (digress: I have questions about how to mount the front...it's on the front stock license plate frame at present). Also, I greased the drive shaft for the clunk she came with (worked like a charm).
Up next for me is fixing the seat back map pockets. Also thinking gamaviti rack but they offer so many options it's hard to decide what to get.
Anyways, enough about me.. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who post answers to questions from guys like me who have no clue what they are doing. This forum is an upgrade from the suburu forums and I think that is a compliment. Great stuff on here and the threads are top notch. Look forward to being a part of it.
