if anyone is interested, there is an event of some type at Gravity Park....it's primarily an ATV/MX park about 1 mile north of Chilton, but they are setting up some sort of obstable course for trucks....

IIRC, there is a rock pile, log climb, RTI deal, and other stuff. Registration starts at 10a and the event at noon. (Sat July 22)

no clue on cost, but they note that spectators are free...

May drag the 40 down for some much-needed exercise :flipoff2:

(Chilton has kickass beer too, so bring a gallon jug with ya to take some home ;) )

Mmmm! Beer!

not a bad day....the park is obviously geared to the MX crowd, but they put in a small rock area, couple log climbs/hills, a mud pit, and did an obstacle run too.

Had 4-5 guys take my FJ40 thru the rocks...damn near sold it ;)

Talked quite a bit with the owner and his son, and they have quite a bit of additional land to work with....suspect there will be more talk down the road.

highlight of the day was Chris Kaiko taking his Sportsman 2 CORR truck around the obstable course....kinda kewl seeing 800 horses screamin around the track!!

shot over 300 pics for the day, including 100+ for Kaiko....need to do some major resizing and then I'll get 'em up...

suspect Gravity Park will be doing 3-4 of these a year, so I'll keep folks posted on when the next one is...for 30 miles away and not much to work with, it was a fun day trip.

Suitable for stock trucks, Woody?

You've seen the condition of my 60, and know I won't be driving it for a couple years... :D but OK for a stock 4Runner?

Until the 60 is put back together, I'd like to find some light-duty stuff to do in the 4Runner. I can't break the Runner cause it's a daily driver....

the rock section requires some mods...the balance honestly isn't much...it's only 10ish acres of play area, effectively around the MX track....as much a social event as a wheelin deal really....

I left the 80 in the parking area...with sliders, I might try a couple things tho ;)

Since I got the 4Runner last month, I've been itching to do something with it other than drive it on dry pavement... but it sux around here cause all the land is private...

At this rate, I'd be happy with a boring old fire trail or something. Just anything to get it in the dirt. :crybaby:

outta hit up Gumby and see when they are hitting that place in IL again...

last weekend in August is Hoosier Hoedown in Attica too, mark that one as a "must attend"

got the pics up, those are most from the day...

before Chris Kaiko got out his Sportsman2 ride and started racing the course....;) Saving those pics for his site (a few are at http://www.kaikomotorsports.com)

more pending on his Formula4x4 rig too, did a photo-day with that on Friday in Crandon...and if I had the time, I'd be shooting tomorros (Tues) in Rochester MN for a TuffTruck comp too, but I can't escape the paying job...lol
