Sorry for another last minute trip but her goes:
I want to try the Grandby Lakes trip again (no one showed last time I tried). This is an easy to moderate trail, fairly rocky,some mud but doable by any stock rig with at least 32" tires and skid plates. i saw a guy with a pickup camper on the trail recently. He went in but I can't say if he came out
. Plan is to meet at Island Lake Campground at the west end of Island Lake at site 1 at 11 AM Sunday morning. We will go in and camp somewhere near the trail. Then head back out the way we came in sometime Monday. There is excellant fishing in the many lakes in the Grandby area so bring your gear. This will be a leisurely trail with lots of time to set up and enjoy a comfortable camp. Not sure if I will get a chance to check this thread again as I am camping up on the mesa with a weak signal. If you have questions it would be best to text me at 270-217-3935 and I will return the call asap.
Hope y'all can make it. BTW mosquitos are nearly gone around Island Lake and hopefully will be gone at Granby too.
