First you need to go to the gopro website and install the cineform software. Then plug in the gopro in computer, the steps should be pretty easy. Once you get the camera updated, you probably should connect it to your wifi remote. I name all my cameras like Cody's 2nd, Cody's 3rd black... Use a code that's not easily gotten, because you never know when somebody will hack into your camera on the trail and turn it off.
For the app you wanna download it. Once it's set up, close it again. Go to phones settings, and turn on wifi that's the button on side of camera. , pick your camera name, and inter the code you put in. Once it's connected, you shouldn't have to enter the code again in your phone if the " remember passwords" option is checked in phones settings. You always want to make sure it's connected to wifi before opening the app.
Once you connect, go to app. You will be able to control all the settings, and view the camera real time, I heard with the last set of updates it's down to only a second or 2 delay,

One thing to remember is if your running windows, the highest resolution you can open in the stock software, cineform may now be able to handle it, I havnt checked, is the 1080p. Any of the 2k 4k stuff will need the full blown photoshop video pack thing to open, so check it out before you do an entire trip to where you can't see it. ...
Enjoy. I'm pretty sure I got amajprity of that correct. I'm doing it from memory in the hotel.
