Recently went on little wheeling trip with my son and his 1984 BJ 60 Turbo.
We trailered it for six hours with skid steer type trailer, being pulled by 2001 3/4 4x4 Dodge Cummins diesel. I don't think the old 60 had never gone as fast as on the trailer. The Dodge really pulls well, averaged about 10 miles per gallon.

Once we arrived at the camping spot it was time for bed and a fresh start the next day with the 60. We went up to an old mine site and used typical BC logging roads to get most of the way. Hard packed shale type rock. The Wranglers handled the terrain with out a hitch. Once we reached the mine trail to Ruth Vermont mine on Vowell Creek, we aired down to 20psi to improve traction and ride. The 60 is fairly heavy with all the gear and roof rack. The weather was over cast and light rain at times. The Wranglers never missed a beat, And I must admit I have a new respect for Goodyear's.
The 60 has 265/75 x 16 on steel wheels, 16x6.5. The springs are OME 2.5 inch lift with OME shocks. works well, but i think it has settled a bit with all the installed weight.

A few pictures

Thanks jb
