I have a 1981 fj40 that the motor (carburetor), maybe vacuum lines needs some attention. Really not sure. Has a miss around 55mph. Took it through my woods today and it dies going up hills. I live in Cleveland MO and was looking for any good mechanics in the KC area.

I would say I’m an expert on carbs, and getting them perfect. But have gotten many to run a lot better than they were.

I’d start with your fuel filter.
