I wanted to let people know about a series of trail guide books I have been very happy with. Namely, a series of Backroads and 4-wheel drive Trails by author Charles A. Wells for Arizon, Utah, and Colorado. I have read all three books and ridden trails from each and I thought the descriptions and coordinates were spot-on. The books cover trails ranging from easy to difficult (difficult being comparable to 3+ at HF for comparison purposes), and covers trails with scenery attribute in addition to technical challenges. There is at least one pic from each trail description, and the trails are cross-referenced by location and difficulty. The books include one for Arizona, one for Colorado, and one for Moab, UT. He appears to have some other books as well (CA), and I see new 2nd editions for some of the ones I have. While I don't own the newer editions, I assume they are only better than the older ones I do have. Links from Amazon are as follows:

Amazon.com: Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails 2nd edition (9781934838006): Charles A. Wells: Books

Amazon.com: Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails (9780966497632): Charles A. Wells: Books

Amazon.com: Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails, 2nd Edition (9780966497663): Charles A. Wells: Books

Happy to share specifics about trail I have done if anyone interested.

Also, I trust someone will let me know if my posts are in the wrong spot.

Enjoy,
Snowy
