Well, the weather here in the Ohio Valley has been remarkable the last several days to say the least. So we headed out on our Second Annual Turkey Day run Saturday and Sunday but due to an excessive amount of moddin' lately we were short handed truck wise and decided to hit our private land known to us as Jack Run.
Now Jack Run is nestled in the Hocking Hills of Southern Ohio and not alot of land down that way is tillable making for some nice trail ridin' and campin..especially when the weather is hittin 70 degrees in late November
Up top on the main hill where 3 trails intersect is a place I call little Vegas as it has a beautiful Adorondak (sp?) built by hunters years ago and provides for a great campin and a centralized point on the vast acreage whe have access too.
2 Noobs to our Chapter Vince and Andy took their trucks, my fj40 sittin' on 37s had to sit this one out due to some mods recently but rode shotgun and had a blast. Its the wheelin' that is the glue for us.
They have been loggin' hard up there lately so the trails are a mess and we have been workin' the chainsaw pretty hard to open up our trails again (we cut our own in the Winter and with the leaves off the trees..it's perfect for clearin lumber and the likes)
Above, Vince getting sideways on a new creek crawl we are workin on...we got halfway up the creek only to find the loggers had dropped a tree over it
and the saw was out of gas...made for some interesting turn around..
Rest of the pics are here...they are large so dial ups beware. We are planning a club run for December 23rd (hardcore only) to celebrate the Winter Solstice..with the condition of the trails now with the loggers been in...it's gonna take some lockers and such to get thru okay..add snow and you gotta alot of fun IMO.
