hey everyone- trying to reach Olympia fj60. spotcruiser said he's done some work with the gm4.3 conversion to a 2f motor. I posted a post on the 19th trying to find anyone that has a good working e-prom image for a 1227747 computer. not trying to beg, just need a little help. the deal is, I am in process of obtaining all components for this conversion[no salvage parts] and I can put it all together, but I don't know a thing about chips, computers, or programs. I have a 77 2f motor, 32-36 carb, bored .020 over, headers, 4 speed with 4-11 gears. the rest is stock. going with downeys adapter, painless wiring and new or rebuilt components. Downey said get chip from astro van or #16139566 which is from 350 blazer which is not close to a 4.3. nothing against Downey but seems like it should at least be close to a 4.3, but then again, I know nothing about this. anyway, maybe I could find someone who has a good program[heard tom Quinn or chetw77cruiser] had a real good chip but cant get in touch with them. they probably get tired of everyone asking them. I don't expect it for nothing, willing to pay, just need to get out of this 'stuck' mode and start cruising again. like to take a road trip to wa. state, maybe Alaska. been to seattle and Everett man about 30 years ago. was really pretty. I know a lot of people "bug" yall about this but I sure would appreciate any kind of help I could get. somebody get back to me. happy trails!
