Anyone have an idea as to how much amps the glow plugs draw? The biggest 24v relay I can get my hands on is a 70 amps relay.
Another option is using one smaller relay per glow plug, so totalling 4 relays, but I still need to know what amperage they need to be.

Same problem with fusible links, I found aftermarket fusible links up to 200 amps (www.littelfuse.nl) but again I do not know the amps needed. I assume the size of fusible link depends of the size of wire it protects, so what's the rule here? (preferably sizes in mm, caus the american system I don't understand :-)

Thanks.

my fuse on a 12v system is only 15A ( according to the engine manual) so shouldn't it be smaller on a 24v system. I think thats how it works.

Sorry just read further and it says you have a fusible link of 50a , I was looking at the fuse from the ignition to the preheat timer.

Thanks for the reply, does it also say what circuits in my truck use the fusible link protection?

The link sits between the + battery post and terminal B on the glow plug relay. I should tell you i have a bj6o and the link is 60A so there is some discrepency there. I'd just put the larger of the 2 in.
