Back on the original thread here --- 9:00 at the gas station by the Wendy's at the corner of 528 and 550, or if you're coming from the north we can just meet you at the north end of the tunnels at 10:00.

would love to go, but too much going on still. spent the last two days in Espa cleaning that place up. Mom in law is here till Tuesday, and I think I have both girls for much of tomorrow.

After cleaning up today, I loaded some stuff in the 45 and drove it to Santa Fe. That is the second longest trip it's been on in the 8 years I've owned it--30 miles!! First one was from El Rito to Espa to get a VIN inspection at MVD 5 years ago. It's hardly left my yard in 4 1/2 years. In the rain, no wipers, expired tags, and my mom-in-law following in the Taco. It drove much better than expected though, and maybe I'll be driving it to work soon.

We will be there, 3 Hughes.

What? I missed a water crossing? Damn... could have finally gotten all that mud off my underside from Ruidoso. :crybaby:

Anybody have a gps track?

the water crossing was sweet. Jim had water to the top of his 35's. I had water coming in the back doors.

I'm pretty sure Greg has his GPS going.

As usual not many pictures of the fun stuff.

Anybody have a gps track?

Mine was giving me goofy readings so I turned it off after (finally) finding Giant Footprint. Long and short was:

* cross the Guadalupe River (deepest ever for me),
* climb up the scary, rocky road onto the mesa,
* visit ruins,
* drive and drive and drive N, NE, NW until finally coming out FR 304 and down to FR 376 near La Cueva (with a few small entertaining obstacles along the way).

I would almost hate to see out GPS track because it would probably, um, meander a good bit.

Good ride today guys...thanks!

I'm waiting for the letter from the Home Owner's Association because of all the mud left in my driveway after yesterday's de-mudding.:doh:
