Thought Karen and I did pretty good on gas mileage today .A.C. on,70--miles per hour,loaded with seat down and back full in fj-62, 12 hours on the road. 17.6 mpg! Any body doing any better? Mike

got 13.66 with 31's and a/c fulb last going 65-70, ouch :-/

62 definitely gets better mileage than 60. when my 60 was in the shop getting spruced up, i drove my dad's 62, and man, that mileage was awesome! though i have found that keeping the valves adjusted, and the plugs new does seem to help a bit in the 60.... with 33's, and the roof rack and a/c going i get about 12-14, though 12 more often than 14 
Me too. 13.4 adjusted for 31 inch tires on a 250 mile trip going 65-70.
The best mileage any of my Cruisers have ever gotten was on a trailer behind my Dodge.

I think when we get larger tires we have to regear the back.I need new gearing in the 80 with the 31s. Mike

Just got back from Colorado Scangauge says my average was 11.3mpg that was trails and road with my trailer no cats and a big hole in my muffler!
