In my condo I have a 75 gallon hot water heater which has a blower motor on top for ventilation. There is a 3" intake and 3in exhaust piping going to the motor.
There is currently an issue where the ignitor comes on, lights the broiler, and then instantly goes out. I've found that if I disconnect the exhaust side of the ventilation piping. The water heater works great. So I tried to snake the venting 25' up and 25' down. No luck. I used a leaf blower to blow out the intake and exhaust sides of the piping. No luck.
Any ideas? Its currently under contract and the inspection is on the 4th.
Its a Bradford white unit, the motor is fasco brand, and it uses a Honeywell smart valve to automatically control the gas.
