Gas and diesel Coolant temp. sensor question

Hi,

A few years ago I replaced the coolant temperature sensor (85 Bj70). Instead of goiung with OEM one, i bought one in Advance Autoparts. But the one they had was from an 85 gasser. Do you know if the water temp. sensor from gas model is the same as diesel one?????????????

Hi Alex,
yes, it is the same. the water temp sensor for the 2F, 3FE, 3B and 2H engines are all interchangable. it is cheap from toyota, actually, but I can't remember the exact price.
