Due to my continued job struggles, I have not yet been able to get the new set of tires I've been wanting for so long. I've been surviving on used tires here and there that I get when I see a bargain. When I had my 4Runner's A arm give up the ghost last year, the insurance company bought me a brand new Goodyear RT/S. Since then I've been trying to match it. Got lucky a few weeks ago when I found someone on Craig's list selling a set of 3 for a lowball price, but only one was really any good. The other two would temps until I found a better set of two.

That happened last when when I found a very good set on eBay (actually 1 each on separate pages from the same vendor). They wanted about $220 for in total but I was able to talk them down to 200 bucks even including shipping. Good thing I did this since the belts were starting to deteriorate on one of the front Goodyears, which was causing increasing wear and throwing my alignment off. Last thing I need is for the tire to blow and possibly cause me another A arm issue. After rechecking the alignment for the second time after NTB did it and at first found nothing wrong, I kept going back and finally NTB here in Avon Mass. discovered the belt issue and I had the just bought tires put on. The alignment was night and day much better, and now all my Goodyear RT/S tires match up ideally, to the point now I feel a lot more confident to getting back on the trail. I still plan to buy Yokos or Hankooks when I can.

Hope to see everyone next Sunday at Wellesley Toyota.
