Funny winch phone call..

I thought there was another problem with the 9500 series that prevented them from fitting.

I can't speak first hand on the Warn but my MileMarker 9500's frame is just big enough to fit, and I mean just barely. But it works. :D

Re North/South-I would like to divide the state just south of Fresno. You guys keep Bakersfield, we keep Fresno. (pretty fair!) Then we each have a poor relation to joke about. Any way you slice it though, e9999 is YOURS.

That sounds pretty fair to me. e9999 is way to far south to call NorCal anyway.

Im not saying the price was good Mo... :flipoff2:

Im saying, if ARB doesnt know what works for a ARB bumper then who would? It's their $(*)_#$*_# bumper! They manufacturer the damn thing!!!!!!![rant/off]

Play nice boys....I woud hate to have to see a winch "pull off" at our next run:rolleyes: .

Smit

btw I have no idea which winch I will go for once that day comes (will be years at this point). I would love to hear about the Mile Marker that Mo' has. Just so happens that Mo and his truck are unstoppable so the winch is just some bling.;)

I know the M12,000 has carried itself very well historically.

Smit - our benevolent site owner has installed a T-Max winch on his 80 IIRC. A quick search in the Outfitting I believe will turn up that thread. Both T-Max and Mile Marker are less $$ than Warn. Don't know if the old saying about getting what you pay for holds true with either of these products tho.

one thing that is remarkable about the Warns is how well they hold their value, and how easy they are to sell. Definitely not true for MM and maybe/maybe not for TM. Check out Ebay, you'll see used Warns selling for only a bit less than new ones.

So you pay more for Warn but you may come out ahead if/when you resell. Plus the customer support is outstanding (first hand experience).

Warn definitely makes a fine winch. I figure I won't use it very often so I gambled with good quality vs great quality to have a winch vs not. Hopefully it won't bite me in the ass later. :)

You'll be fine Mo.. i had a Ramsey REP8000 on my XJ and used it quite a few times without a problem. I didnt want to pay the price to get a warn when i could pay half the amount and get something that worked the same. Warn just has alot of hype around there name. Thats all.
