I have 177k on my 4 Runner. Has never been used to pull trailers or worked really hard. Had the fluid changed at 120k. Fluid still looks good. Should I just drain the oil fluid and top it off with new fluid? Or should I put a new filter in?

I don't understand which "fluid" you're talking about. Motor? Transmission? Differential?

I'm thinking it's your tranmission, since you referred to a "filter". I would personally drain and fill every 20k-30k miles until you get to 220k and then do a flush.

Don't forget to do your differentials and transfercase. Very easy job.

X2 if its never been done he might not make to 220K on that trans.
