Hi guys, been reading some old posts with no luck. My gas tank appears to be weeping slightly actually more like its sweating on the bottom from a previous repair from the previous owner. Read a couple of old posts about this por-15 gas tank sealer? will this product fix my problem or is there another product that say could be applied externally? I scraped away the old paint and the damage does not seem that bad, looks like it probably rusted through from the bottom and the po probably cleaned it up and applied something over it ? but is is finally sweating through. Years back i fixed a gas tank on my old chev p/u, it rusted through under the straps that hold the tank in place. I used a product called acraglass, its a two part epoxy resin that is solvent resistant gunsmiths use it for repairing gun stocks, had the old truck for many years later and it never seemed to leak. Thought of trying this again, but maybe someone has another relatively low buck repair. Thanx Neil

This is just a FWIW reply. I pulled my tank a couple of years ago because it had a couple of pin hole size leaks in it. I could see where the PO had used JB Weld to repair the leaks . The tank was not leaking from his repairs! I cleaned the exterior of the tank really well and used JB Weld , NOT the Quick stuff. It was going to be a temporary repair, but it doesn't leak at all. My .02

Never thought of jb thanx .

They have a fuel tank specific product that works very well
