Guys,

Thought I'd share here, just doing this on Pirate right now due the help I can get from other FTOY owners but feel I have my head above water so....

Purchased FTOY 36 from Hendrix Motorsports in Cali October 5th. It arrived in Columbus January 5th after being shipped ABF!

Notice the front end? Lookin' kinda CRUZA Ish eh?

Had to totally strip EVERYTHING from the frame including the factory tabs....

And like most East Coast rails...I had some rust issues..

Bought a rebuilt 1995 22re with a LC Performer Cam, High Flow Jets, ARP Studs...built by a Toyota Tech at Germain 500.00 bucks:grinpimp:

Ran into an interesting problem. Appears the 95 motor mounts are different than my 82 or with the Hendrix Mounts pictured.

Will take a Dremel tool and remove the extra material so the mounts bolt up.

Here's the rear springs almost done..Will mount the foward hangers tonight.:flipoff2:

Here you can see the rear X member I had to make when shortened the frame

Mark,
That's looking cool!

Why inboard the rear springs?
To clear wider tires or decrease roll stiffness or...?

Thanks Jim! Coming from you that's quite a compliment. You inboard the rear on Ftoys so they will flex..the rear end is soooo light they have a hard time flexing out with the added leverage. So you inboard to the same width as the front springs..:grinpimp:

I'm only running 35 Krawlers for Ftoy and 37s for W.E.Rock. My WB is at 103.5 right now..Perfect!

I like it that you are using Toy. axles and not something like Dana's etc...

Look great Mark. Can't wait to see it on the 18th.

Cheers.

Onur,

Ftoy is a spec class of rockcrawling so there are strict rules to follow for the build up. It has to be built with toyota parts only.
