1994 4Runner SR5
3.0 V6
Automatic
165,XXX miles
$1200.00 or best reasonable offer
Had this thing for about 2 years now and we just bought an Excursion to tow with, so this one needs to go. Ran like a tank the entire time and never let us down. Wife used it for a communte of 16 miles, round trip, to the train station and back. Very little work required while we owned it (all we did were brakes, tune up, and a couple other minor items really.)
The Good:
- Body is in fair condition, a few little rust spots, but the only major bad section is actually the rear bumper which you can just replace.
- 4 31x10.5x15 Goodyear RT/s tires on 5 spoke alloy rims. Rims aren't pretty, but the tires are about a year old and probably have 80% tread left on them.
- Power windows (including rear), power locks, power sunroof - all working
- AC works like a champ in the summer.
- Battery is a year old
The Bad:
- Motor has a skip and the check engine light is on. But it's been running that way for a year and a half now with no major issues. Uses a little oil is about it, doesn't smoke, knock, or ping.
- Sunroof leaks. Drains are probably cloged and the motor is getting a little slow. If you don't use it for a while it'll seal. My wife happens to like using it, so we just covered it with a tarp (we'll throw that in for free. ;D )
- Needs some minor suspension work we're told - inner tie rod and a ball joint I think.
This isn't a spectacular truck, but if you're looking for a clean platform to build a trail rig or a winter beater, this is probably a good choice. It was driven every day until this weekend when we picked up the Excursion. I'm not going to part this out right now, so don't even start asking. If I change my mind, I'll take what I want off it first and post up a new ad for the remainder.
