Front diff blew to pieces (1 Viewer)

Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the front diff on a 2004 100 series. My front diff was making some serious grinding noises the other day and would almost brake itself to a sudden stop when I let off the gas. I had it towed to the toyota dealership and they said they drained the front diff and there was large chunks of metal in the oil. So I am wondering if anyone has replaced one before as I'm thinking about doing it myself.

What did you end up finding out? We (Tall Corn Cruisers) get a pretty healthy discount from Toyota of Des Moines if you want to get new parts. You can get a hold of MidAmerican LandCruiser just across the Miss. River, he is a good choice for used parts. Not sure if he will have that new of vehicle.
