I have a friend in Lamar, Mo that has had this FJ40 for a long time. He would like to either sell it or make it a more practical rig. I hate to even touch it because it is probably about 90% original and only has just over 30k or 40k miles on it. I would almost say that it is showroom condition. He keeps it in the garage all the time and takes it out for the occasoinal cruise. I didn't know he would be interested in selling it until after I bought mine. I would have snatched it up. If he doesn't sell it, I think he is going to ask me to do the 5.3 swap for him to make it a more practical ride. I would put either the 700r4 or the 4l60 behind it. Mine will do 70mph at 2500rpm now and I love it. Still not the safest thing to drive on the HWY. If anyone is interested in it, let me know. I don't have any interior pics but I can assure you it is in great shape with the original rear seats. I don't know if those have ever been used. I'm not sure about the flexability of his asking price but I think he would be pleased to get $13k for it.
