Hey Guys,

Need some help here. Year back my buddies and I used to go to frazier park to do some target practicing. We would take a dirt road right off the main frazier park rd. We would shoot right off the dirt road into the mountain.

If my memory serves me correct, that same dirt road turns into a semi difficult trail that required the use of 4 low. The road ends at the top of the hill, at a big empty field sorta like a big campground.

Is anyone familiar with area or knows what im talking about ?

We want to go up there, have a small bbq and do some trail/off road driving. Does anyone know of any other spots in the area?

By the way, please feel free join us if you wish. We will head out this Sunday, probably around 7ish from Burbank, do some driving and have a bbq feast.

Thanks a million.

Your talking about BC109 (Badlands Corridor 109). Its about 20 miles west of Frazier Park off of Lockwood Valley Road. It ends up in a large sandy wash, and as you follow it back you the rocks turn into bigger rocks, and then boulders, then a really hard core washed out section called Oilpan Alley..

I still go there to do some target shooting with my .22 WinMag. Last time I wheeled it was with the www.SoCalXJ.com guys. A few years back.... Fun place... Gets extremely cold in the winter.

how was the trip... any pictures?

I love the Frazier Park area's offerings of recreation and great views. plus, its inclose proximity to where i live (burbank), but i haven't been there with my 4runner yet.

Maybe next time, i'll join you with a couple of friends and meat.

Based on last years snow run experience with an FJC group, I would recommend the Plieto Trail - easy forest trail with varying snow thickness along the way. We did have a couple of stuck vehicles (No Land Cruiser :D) so I wouldnt go alone. Close to 6 hrs run with the recoverys.

I would like to run this with some of yall (especially the ones that reside in the Valleys) next year if everything falls into place.
