So my frame has a bit of rot. just found it today. Its more on the rear of the frame on the inside. Its actually in really good shape the reast of it. Im leaning towards doing a body off resoration eventually but would like to reapir the frame properly now then keep driving it till i aquire all the parts ill be needing. Whats the best route to go for frmae repair and anyone have a link to there repairs. Also is there a min thickness a frame can be before its a lost cause? Just trying to figure out my plan of attack. I think we a good sandblasting and some por15 it can last a long while.

Guide me wise 45 masters!!!

No por 15, If you think your frame is rusted check your body mounts below the drivers seat where it bolts to the frame !
The original frame is 3/16. That said your rear perches may be rusted also.
If you are contemplating a ' frame off '' then why not hot dip galvanize the frame after repairs ?
Mine was rusted pretty bad and I re-welded and hot dipped.
It may be worth having a mechanic look at the frame as it may not be that bad !
Post up some picks of the issues !

Perches are fine. Ill grab some pics

The thing is it may be a couple years till i go frame off. I just wanna fix some minor issues now and enjoy driving it for a bit till i pull it off the road and take the big plunge.

Here is the rot! Ugh...

Its only by the front spring perches. Rest of frame is fine. Whats my best plan for this repair?

Find a section of 40/45 frame and swap it in?
