Frame Repair Experience?

2007 LX-470... got rear-ended and pushed into car in front.

Obvious damage:
Front - TJM bumper, left fender, corner tip of hood and corner light frame; Everything else is fine.
Rear - Bumper, hitch, lower tailgate panel....and frame. Lights and corners all look good.

The gotcha is the frame is slightly (?) bent where the trailer hitch mounts on the left side.

Any experience in whether this is repairable without disassembling the truck and/or replacing frame.

Guess I'll know soon enough if they'll total it, but I've had the truck since 60K, it's immaculate and just re-baselined at 122K with full service, final warranty stuff and new Coopers....so not real thrilled about getting ACV and having to looking for a replacement and starting over...or spending to move up to LX570/LC200.

True market replacement cost is going to be $20-25K or so, with all the hassles and unknowns. I'm guessing I'll be lucky to get $18K in a total, based on experience with my wife's car when airbag went, causing it to be totaled.

Personal experience, thoughts?

I know it's hard to move on from your beloved 100 but instead of viewing this as tragedy look at it as an opportunity. I recently totaled my '94 80 that I've had for over 250K miles. I loved that thing. Similar scenario, everything could have been fixed but a bent frame was the nail in the coffin. I took the opportunity to retire her and moved to the 200. Honestly, I think back warmly and fondly on the 80 but am so grateful for the upgrade to the 200 - it's an amazing platform. The jump from the 100 to the 200 is less of a significant difference but significant enough IMHO. Do yourself a favor and go drive one and then make your decision.

Yeah, as contingency I've been burning up the net for two days looking at 200 prices, availability, LC vs LX. Love my service guys at Lexus, and the AHC, but for the 200 the LC seems to be more adaptable. Just spoiled by North Park Lexus warranty and service when I need it.

Plus the sweet spot seems to be 2011, but 2013 is real appealing....but the numbers really hurt at $60K.

There are some great deals out there, just be patient. I once saw a 2013 for 47K with only 42k on the clock. I should have snagged it. I saw many great deals on 2008-2009s. LX vs LC or AHC vs KDSS is a whole other ball of wax.
