SOLD Got a set of four OEM FJ60 (and FJ62?) chrome rims ... well, kinda chrome, kinda patina'd .... OK, fine, rusty! Started polishing the rust off with steel wool but can't say it'll all come off. Considered building an electrolysis tank, but according to Coolerman, that will mess up the chrome. I dunno, I kinda dig the patina anyway ... but have too many projects ... so here they are.

15x6 (IIRC), 6 on 5.5 bolt circle (duh) ... Tires that are on them are trash but hold air if you're looking for project rollers/mock ups (which is how I used them for a while). Rims are heavy metal, best to pick up locally in southern New Jersey just outside of Philadelphia, PA, or Mudship. $80 for the set of four. Text/call 215 850 6331. Thanks!

Any ideas about using these on a min truck? I have a 81 toyota 4x4.

Thanks
J

They were OEM on '81 minis (I had one), bolt 'em on and go. And I know where there is another one of these rims on an 82/3 mini if you're interested. Will just pass the info on to you ... thanks for your interest.

Ah, here's an '81 wearing the same rim (albeit painted). Sweet, ain't it? No, not my rig, just really appreciated it when it was for sale a while back so I saved the pics.

They fit my truck really well...

The back spacing on stock 60/62 steelies is 3 3/8, which would work perfect with a solid axel mini. Mine is IFS and the stock back spacing on mine should be 4 3/4, but they still work for me. It just makes the tire stick out a little farther.

On a side note, OP do you still have the center caps as shown in my bottom pic? If so I will take them...

Fed Ex shipped mine to me from Missouri to Wyoming...$120. Just to give you an idea on shipping to get a rough estimate.

To remove the rust, just get some PPG DRX 1000, which is a cutting compound. Then take some steel wool and go to town. Start out with a course (00) and work your way down to fine (0000). It took me about 3 hours for all four, but they can be saved. Mine look about like those do.

Good score!

PM sent yo.

J

Responded to your PM, disregard, didn't see your post beforehand. I'll look into shipping, but I'm in 08096 if you want to check on your own. Hmm, I'll have to get those tires off to get an accurate idea of weight ...

And thanks to other guys for chiming in on the rust removal and shipping costs.

Rub it in with that clean rig of yours, huh? Ha ha, verrry nice! As for center caps, well, maybe. I got the rims from a buddy and he may still have the caps but I dunno, I'll ask.

Damn that is a sweet mini. Longbed eh?
What do you have for a suspension? Looks a little higher than stock.

Nope, it is a short bed mini. The picture just makes it look like it's a long bed.

The suspension is stock with a coil spring added for weight. The bed is actually fiberglass which makes it lighter in the back than stock.
