Hey everyone. We may have the opportunity to move our family from southern CA to Fond Du Lac. On paper it seems like an ideal place to live but would like to hear from any locals on how it really is. Good, bad, ugly, please.

We have more trailer parks than most of the rest of the world.
We have a women's state prison.
We have a lake.
We have four seasons.
It isn't snowing yet.
There are some really nice places to live near here.
We are not far from Professional Sports, Packers, Bucks (I think they are still considered pro?), Brewers.
There is culture in Milwaukee, museum, the arts, Chicago is not much farther.
The airport is 1 hour (Gen Mitchell in Milw)
