I took a chance on ebay replacement fog light assemblies shipped directly from China. They arrived in a couple weeks without any customs hassles. The instructions are cryptic, but they fit the stock opening with plug and play LEDs. Supposedly, each lens module is 11w. The beams are tight and don't blind other drivers. It's a nice low fill for the area directly in front of the car.

The jury is out on how well these will hold up over time. I love the look - the black outer rim blends with the paint on our 2009. I finally connected the light module rims and they look great for DRL and turn signal use. If the light modules go bad, the housing can be repurposed for pods. Overall, it was a good $210 experiment.

PS: That's a new DEPO sport headlight housing that I installed last year. Light transmission is notably better than through the originals.

Looks nice! How have they held up? Looking to the same with the stock bumper and fog light location.

So far, so good. I'm a little concerned about how much in the way of heat sinks they put on the primary lights. We have a long road trip coming up and that will tell us a lot. It was a relatively cheap experiment and I like the look. I can always put pods inside the stock lights and swap them back.

Update for anyone thinking about these. I found a pair for around $85 so I gave them a try.

The plastic clip on the outside of the housing meant to latch into the mount on the bumper was too short and not rigid enough to lock in.
They were also missing the clip nut to secure the other side.

Fit and finish was just OK, some dust and junk inside the housing, wires were weatherproofed with hot glue which was obvious in the picture but verified once they were in my hands.

I replaced the hot glue with silicone, but I'm still not sure I want to keep them at the price point.

I wanted to like these but for the money they just didn't fit well enough. I sent them back and got a refund.
Decided to spend more money and get a permanent solution, of a mount and some after market pod lights.
