I have always referred to squirrels as tree rats

Since squirrels do not have any natural predation in the city you could buy a pet Owl. If that is not likely, you could consider what I had to do.
One year I had an extreme infestation of squirrels that kept me awake at night as they frolicked in on my roof from the surrounding trees. After several ineffective attempts at suggesting they find somewhere else to play at night, including calling the municipality, which was met with some laughter, I found that a mixture of wafarin, peanut butter and vegetable oil in a plastic container with a small opening (to keep cats away) secured to my roof near a window,(to monitor consumption) was successful in getting their numbers down to a level where I could get some uninterrupted sleep.

Not sure what trap you got there cause its blocked here at work.. but what you got to do is lean a log at a 45 degree at the base of the tree they ar liveing in, the local trapers say that the squirl will always use anaything that is at 45 instead of going straight up the tree (they are lazy), then you set your snare on the 45. Squiel pelts are worth about 50 cents, so you got to get good at skining them to make it worth your while

great idea - skin a few to pay for the bait for the ones that are too clever that you don't catch in your trap.

Dirty little SOBs did 6000 dollars damage to the wiring in my house when I lived at the coast. I became very good a live trapping them and then into a bucket of water, got lots of squirrel tails for fly tieing.

Got the little bastard! What a glorious thing to wake up to..hah!

The other shot is the the damage the little bastard did to the eaves trying to get back in after the soffit vents were re screened. Now to finish patching the hole in the living roof ceiling the varmint chewed through.

Did you find the nest?

It was starting to make one up in my vaulted living room ceiling. I will try sticking the shop vac up the hole the fxxxer created and see what it sucks out.

So.... you gonna let the girls keep 'em ;)

I have a 20 lb. Cat you can borrow...

Jeffy the exterminator, you just need to grow a MO and sport some studded gloves and you could have a TV show

Hmm, I hope you didn't just exile said critter.
