I recently purchased a 2005 LX470 and I love it, but I'm trying to get a few things sorted out. One of those things is the headrests on the driver and passenger front seats (dvd in head rest) seem to have stripped ratcheting gears that don't allow the headrests to stay in the "forward" position anymore. I've thought perhaps I would just push them forward to the angle I want them to be at then maybe I could stick something (like a small block of wood or similar) in the gap between the metal mount and the open space of the headrest and this would "force" them to stay in the forward position. If anybody has any other thoughts on this I'd appreciate it.

I just replaced the 🤬 DVD headrests, with some factory takeoffs that I found on eBay. The ones that I purchased were from a stereo shop, that was doing DVD installs for a Lexus dealer. I don’t know if you can still find that, but you could probably find some from someone parting out a vehicle.
