This is another hobby of mine...probably gonna keep me busy while yoall are at Beasley...dont have the funds to go..trying to get into a house and well even though I am itching to go wheeling the house is a little more important...and the FJ needs some attention before making a road trip..so i am sitting it out but anyway from another forum...
Well I got home from the Army on Friday. Well me and Hogtrapp44 had decided we would go out to the Ocmulgee PFA because the river was pretty high when I came over it Fri. Well I meet him and were off. Did not bring the gas tank cause we didnt need it..of course the river had dropped and was good fishing level. I already knew my uncle was going limb lining. Well he decided to call me and tell me he is going to 96 to fish. Well about the time me and Hogtrapp get done with a measley 5 bream from the PFA, we meet them at the landing to give them some bait. I knew then, if I did not go they would be tearing up them big ugly but beautiful flatties. I left them to go home, get my boat and haul butt back to the river. I got down there at about 5 and started the ride way up river. Of course you gonna find a few of these...
I found them, done a little bait catching..then hung my 4 lines up along with my uncles. Well now the waiting begins. First run up the river...gotcha... bout 25 pounds..excuse the funny looking guy with sunburn from the PFA..
Coming right back down just a few minutes later..another line is going nuts...now keep it in mind this was within one bend of the river..we had just passed it..when we checked the last one that had the big boy on it. I came back up and I guess they were still talking about the big boy and I had to pull this one up. It had just hit it. I mean we had just been by there 10ish minutes...but i aint complaining.. we got the little channel up river earlier.

Well me and the wife left early. I left my lines for my uncle to use and I got a call about when I was pulling out. When they went back up after the second time there was another one my line. We left a little early..I had fun...wish I would have stayed out there but I seen the big one. Got another call today..they got 3 more some in the 15-17# range I believe. But anyway..dont have any pics...but we are sho nuff going to a fish fry today...so I dont really care what the last one weighs....we gonna have some flathead nuggets....
and cold beer.
