I bought a FJC yesterday at $500 over Dealer Invoice at Thompson's Toyota in Placerville, CA (about 45 miles east of Sacramento on Hwy 50),.... no add-ons, no extra fees (advertising, etc.)of any sort.
In my search, I had the dealer in Dublin, CA offer $800 over DL, and Magnussen Toyota in Auburn, CA offered $1,000 over DL. All but one of the dozen or so dealers I communicated with were willing to come off MSRP. None were pricing over sticker, and few were still doing wheel/tire add-ons to jack the ask.
If interested, contact Tim Anglin, Internet Director @ Thompson's Toyota in Placerville. He knows the FJC well, and is a straight shooter. Please mention my name to Tim, although we're not related and there is no finder's fee.
I'll be looking for running boards and roof rack options soon if anyone has such.
