I tried to catch all the previous threads on auxilary fuel tanks for the FJ Cruiser, but it sounds like no vendor has developed one as yet? Anybody have some leads?

I would be interested as well....the stock one is WAY too small.

No one is making an aux tank. My solution is to get the new ARB roof rack (in pre-production) and carry 4-5 Jerry cans on the roof. I'll have to wait and see the best configuation for the tanks.

Not much room for one underneath - looks pretty tight already down there to me.

Just popping my head in the FJ section for the first time, so excuse me if this is a bum idea...

Has anybody looked into using an aftermarket LC Prado 120 aux tank? Looks like LRA makes a 125 Liter (33gal) replacement tank and a 75 Liter (~20gal) Aux tank. I have an LRA 24 gal aux tank for my 100 and am very happy with it.

Okay, one more idea--if anybody lives up in Oregon near this place, you can have a custom tank made. Once the first one is done, they'll have the design ready for everyone else.

I sent them an email this afternoon, asking if they are considering designing an aux. tank or larger OEM replacement tank for the FJC. I'll post any reply.

Here's the reply from NWMP:
We have no plans to do so at this time. In order to build this tank we'd need to have new tooling fabricated and that is a huge expense.

If we do so in the future, I'll let you know.

Thank you for contacting us,

Julie
