For Sale Fj80 Rear Ladder

This is an OEM ladder bought in Japan. I’m told it was never imported to the US. I paid $600 for this in the mid 1990s. Sell for $175

is this actually functional as a ladder? do you have pics of how it mounts? how much weight can it support? is it aluminum?

It appears to be aluminum. It fits entirely on the upper tailgate window area. No drilling is required. It has clips that fit over the upper and lower part of the tailgate. I was a rower at the time and I used the ladder to climb up to the roof and deal with the hold down straps for my rowing shell.
This is a rare item. I bought it from the owner of TLC in Chatsworth CA. He took a trip to Japan and brought it back. He told me it was never imported to the states. I paid $600.
The upper and lower attachment prices have a slight bit of rust. No big deal. A bit of steel wool and a spray can of black paint will fix it right up. There is a guy in San Jose that has been asking me many questions about it including shipping. I mY not have it too much longer.

That's $1150 in today's money. You should probably keep that rear ladder and mount it on the wall..
