Good video on applying vinyl

@MarkBC I did something years ago with my '78 Mini My dad got the vinyl through a friend so I have no idea what it was. I have thought about doing it to my 60 dash cap and I just may to the more beat up of the two to test.

I am thinking a marine vinyl would be ideal as it should also have UV built in.

I like his idea of the vacuum bag and easy to make.

Sorry to bring up an old thread here, but I need some advice. What would be the best way to fix this hole in my dash? I was thinking of using a filler but its a hole and not a crack. Any suggestions? Specific products would be very helpful. Never did this type of repair before. Thanks!

Note: If you are going to do this, pay special attention to the AC vents as they are a tight fit.

Good morning @NCFJ. Going to try and tackle my cracked dash.... What exact products did you use? I see a body filler then some sort of glass epoxy looking coat over it. What product creates that glass look after sanding? Also looks like you put a fiberflass mesh under the glass material? Is that correct? if so which mesh?

This is definitely outside my comfort zone, but with a little bit of help on material names, I think I can tackle it. Your picture attached.
