Sorted out my Gantry and now finally have the 1FZFE on the engine stand.
Super impressed with how simple the engine is built and how easy to assemble/disassemble.

I did however forget to drop the oil from the sump.

Typical project for me. If there is a big puddle I can spill on the driveway, I will. That is after I try to catch everything in the drain pan first...
 
Finally on the stand.

Time to tear down the top and bottom end.
Oil is a bit milky likely from a head gasket.

Rear passenger window fitment.
Finishing off the inner and outer roof channels, need to ensure the glass shape.

Like everything on the 55 it sightly tapers.

Had to allow for the rubber as well.

1FZFE Teardown.
Poor thing has had a hard life. Check the water passages.

Need a 14/16mm Hex Socket to disconnect the Head from the Block.

1FZFE Head off.
Rounded a Fly wheel bolt.

Found out Cylinder one suffered gasket failure. Super fun pulling this motor down.

After 10 years of abuse I Broke my torque wrench trying to undo the crank bolt. RIP.

Torque wrenches aren't made to loosen - but I'm sure you know that. Good luck with the rebuild!

Have you roughed in the 1FZ to see how much room there is in the Pig engine bay?
She'll be right! Firewall may need to be persuaded a little.

A to D Pillar Inner and Outer Channels.
Now to run another set for the Drivers side.

Been almost 6 months of tinkering on weekends, in planning and measuring. So happy with the final outcome
