Yesterday I picked up a rust free 74 full tub. I have 76 that the rear 3/4 has a fair amount of rust, but the front clip is fine. I know there are some mods I need to make for the rear ambulance doors and already have the stuff for the door strikes. I have two questions on what will be the best way to attack this.
1: Separating the tub at the A pillar: Plan A is to do the separation and mate the 74 3/4 tub to my 76 front clip. It looks like pulling the bolts and grinding down the visible welds is easy enough. Is there anything else I need to be prepared for?
2: Using the complete 74 tub: Plan B is to use the entire 74 tub on my 76. This puts me into some things I am not sure on. Will my 76 doors, windshield frame, hood etc all work on the 74 tub?
