Well I spent last weekend out at Clyton with my FJ40.
All went well with the exception to bending my front 2.5" lift OME primary leaf spring.

Right now I am not interested in rasing it higher, but am looking for someone who might have a good front set laying around that your willing to part with.

And if not I have dealt with a sping rebuilder down in Dallas. And I need to get the springs to them quickly so it will be done soon.

And then I'll start my quest this winter as to what I want to do next.

Give me some input on your experiences with different brands and even different configurations.

I am looking to get this back up and running soon. I am taking it to Colorado at the end of July-first of August.

Thanks in advance
Brian

Brian,

I've had 2-1/2" Rancho's on the front of mine for 10 years and have beat the crap out of them and they still operate well. I recommend them if you intend to stay with a 2-1/2" lifted spring. They may not be as flexy as the OME, but they hold up well.

I enjoyed wheelin' with you last weekend. Lets do it again soon.

Thanks,

James

Brian, you might check with an OME distributor to see if you can buy just one leaf or maybe one leaf pack. Get with Jacque at Toyota of Dallas or Texican and see. A spring place like Weaver in Dallas might be your best bet though.

And fix the spelling of Gainesville in your profile. :D
