I am terrible at ordering parts on the internet. So, if ya'll don't mind, let's have a contest. Please gimme your best links for the weather stripping felt in my '72 FJ40. I'm thinking a kit with the main square window felts and the triangle-ish wing windows. After looking at the door again, not sure I have to have the wing window rubber weather stripping. I already have the window crank mechanism bought, so as weather cools, I need to try to get the glass back in working order.
Winner gets a CPS hat (if they go to the SCC).
Details, exact PN, & best price will all be considered on who gets the hat.

It's OEM, so could be pricey. Worth a quote tho. And customer service is top notch.

Edit: Go to first page...

Ok, if I'm reading this right, this guy "Beno" basically provides a service. He does the ordering/shipping from his location and ships it out to me, for the price of the part + a fee. Cool. I guess I'll message him for a quote.
thax, good lead.

Ok...I'll play...

https://www.sor.com/cat124.sor#124-04-KIT -

Good link for the complete kit. Perfect for the complete "redo". Definitely a great lead.
I think after looking at the wing window and door seals, I'm ok there, for now. My biggest immediate need is the felt in the window channels. My felt is completely dry rotted and the window does not move up n down very much. As ya'll may remember from the RLC Ramble, although lil'blue is unmodified stock, it's not exactly a trailer queen.

Get the SOR kit. Looks like a good price compared with Cruiser Corps.

You could piece it here and there, but if you are taking the doors apart, I'd just replace all I could and forget about it.

Did you get the regulators fixed so the windows go up and down again?

But then again, this might be all you need. The SOR kit does the door seals, too. I don't remember what condition yours are in.

Josh,
I haven't put the regulators in yet. My plan was to gather these soft parts, then to go at it all at once.
Door seals are still in pretty good shape as far as contact patch. The outer edges have a little decay, but I'm ok w/ that.

Looking at the Cool Cruiser cart you posted, i'm basically shipping ahead going CC.
I pieced it together from the SOR catalog and priced it out to $163.50
Check to see if this SOR link works.

124-35

That's correct Stacey. Good guy to deal with and he knows his stuff. Email is the best way to get in touch with him.

Yeah- Beno is your guy for parts...it's a little slower nowdays than it used to be since he's gone freelance (LandCruiser consultants or something like that)...he used to work at Nalley Toyota, but he's just specializing in land crusiers these days I guess)...

You'll get a 25% discount off OEM parts through him...I would say though, that's it's a really good idea to know exactly the part you need to avoid confusion when you're corresponding with him...(I think he's pretty much only operating through email now vs the good ole' days when you just called him up)...

excellent customer service though none-the-less through Beno (Onur)

I'm sure Onur "beno" has access to factory parts diagrams.

Back when I had the parts store and needed an OEM part I would call the dealer and have them email me a picture of the general area of the part in question. That eliminated any misunderstandings.

That's for sure...I think he actually has some kind of psychic ability when it comes to cruiser part numbers...
