I'll need to take Scout for a shakedown run once it's back together... I'm thinking a long drive to meet other 40 owners sounds awesome. I'm in the Seattle area.

It might take me a few weeks to get it back together.

Current state of things....

My goal is to have it back together by early September.

I don’t know the history of this tradition and don’t have time to sift thru 74 pages of it but, it looks like fun for those who’ve kept the flame alive! Where is the final stop…east or west?

I believe the briefcase is still with @kblomquist in Kanab, UT. A hand-off with someone from the Las Vegas area, or better yet, IH8MUD HQ, would make a good, fairly short drive for both parties. And I'm definitely ready to take another shot at this.
I would be game when the weather cools off Maybe late September or October

Where are these pictures taken, the middle one and the last one look like Washington....

Out on the peninsula to meet Mike @myquestoyota and the Bremerton ferry.
I hauled the red tool box to Butte Montana. Then home to South Dakota

it's not this thread...this was just the planning thread...........there is no scheduled terminal, only whistle stops along the way.

For those who have not seen the thread above Brian linked. It is worth the look just for some of the scenery and pictures.
Lets get this thing going again and bring it across the top of the country!

Thanks for the link! I’m down for a road trip if anyone from the PNW wants to go!

I will participate again - my first contribution was in 2017, having my left foot in a boot after surgery, so my hubby drove the 40, and I followed in the LX450
