Have ordered a FJ Cruiser. Am thinking about installing Pro Comp mud terrain 33 X 12.5. Has anyone done this? Do they rub? Any other tire suggestions. My FJ will seldom be off-road.

search this forum, keyword "tires" and you'll find quite a few results...including info on 285's and 305's... (305 IIRC is the 33 x 12.5 stuff)
If it's not going to be off road why change the tires? And if you are going to be on-road with a bit of off road, don't get a mud terrain, go with an all terrain. Mud terrains wear faster and are noisier on road. I don't think you will be able to fit 33x12.5's without a lift of some sort. It seems that a 33x10.5's (285/70x17) fits with no problems at all.

I live in the northern rockies. The closest paved road to my house is 2 miles. My NO OFF-ROAD is different the most . I also flyfish in the backcountry where my FJ will take me. "Buy a Camary" - Don't be a jerk pal!
didnt mean to offend, just thought it was a shame to have such a capable off road vehicle and never take it off road.

Perhaps the procomps are not at tall, but they are also 1" wider than the Goodyear MTRs. The smaller diameter of the procomps may be negated by the wider rubber... especially with the wheels cranked all the way.
