I'm interested in lifting my 08 FJ and was wanting any suggestions. I'm thinking a 3" lift, wanting to retain as much of a factory ride, and would like to run 285/75/16 BFG All Terrains. Also, is there any problem doing this with the factory warranty??:)

I think you'd be amazed how much better many of the lift kits make your FJ ride. I have a Toytech lift on mine - essentially it's a old man emu front w/ custom coils in the back. It truly handles better than the stock.

There are many lifts to choose from.

All Pro coilovers
Toytech lift
Donagoe Racing Coilovers
Revtek spacer lifts
Old Man Emu
Rough Country
Fab Tech
..........................just to name a few

Keep in mind future mods like bumpers and winches when deciding and what kind of use you're striving for, such as Rock crawling or more Desert adept.

Lots of information out there on this subject.

As for the warranty. The Dealer has to prove that any after market parts caused the problem, if they can't tie the two things together, you're covered.

Go with OME or Toytech. You need to figure out if you're going to add weight to your rig. If you are wanting to add a winch bumper and winch I would go with the OME Heavies in the front . I have the heavies front and rear . The fronts feel good with the bumper and the winch, The backs are a little stiff yet, but I'm planning to add weight to the rear still. The ride is a whole lot better then stock.

Like Bernd said alot depends on what your plans are for the rig and how much you want to spend. Are you sure you want BFG ATs ? I know you have owned other cruisers but why does everyone go with those tires.
