Holy Crap that is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. Looks like some bad genetic research from the Mad Scientist with an FJC and 4Runner and then he dropped the whole thing into his Erector set.

I see Toyota's biggest problem as this. They're trying too hard to appease every facent of the American market with different models. I feel like the Rav4, Highlander, 4Runner, FJC, and even the Sequoia and Land Cruiser are all gunning for the same market class. I think they need to pare down their model offerings and concentrate on 2 or 3 SUV's (Small, medium, and Large if you will) and offer a wider range of trim and equipment levels to meet market demand.

That truck is about 3 years old. Either its popping up again on the show circuit, or someone is making it sound like its 'new'.

Bahh worthless without a live front axle. now bring back the fj 60 with toyota elockers a 3.4 and some coilovers and youve got yourself a rig!

Leather seats FTW, and 80's don't sound like lawnmower :D

x2 rblank on the ugliness of that machine.
I think with current downturn Toyota will rethink their strategy and bring a pickup - suv on the same frame maybe even with solid axle on the front. People where buying anything shiny regardless of functionality or quality. (too much money) With downturn people should start askign questions about vehicles they purchase.

Toyota engineers are in my driveway now taking measurements on the Pumpkin as we speak. I'm so ahead of my time:rolleyes:
