I am starting my quest for a frame that will work with a 1977 FJ40. I have patched and repaired mine several times so I thought I would try and find a good replacement. I would prefer it to be within 200 miles but would travel a little further for the right deal.

Thanks, Scott

Check with Michael F. Up in NWA. He was just telling me about one he is scrapping out. Might have better luck finding him on the TRORA board.

I'm curious to know what exactly is wrong with yours.

Swapping frames is a lot of work even for a stock drivetrain. And since you've got a Chevy 350, you have to put in new motor mounts on your new frame.

Well I have replaced the whole rear 2' of it and replaced/ repaired all spring hangers in the back. It has a passenger lean that is very noticeable. I have been toying around with the thought of selling and buying something better. I really dig the coil spring and coilover suspensions. I don't know what I really want. I agree that it is alot of work.
