Duh
Just saying Hi. Searched for a used IFS front diff. No luck. Called Slee. They gave a couple of numbers and presto, found what was needed for the right price. Will likely install it myself with help. Also purchased 16" used Tundra rims yesterday in preparation to install Tundra front rotors-calipers.
Experimented with Tundra 2wd front struts-shocks plus modification. The 2wd non trd coils were too stiff. Got a soft mild lift with the Tacoma OEM springs. It worked for me. Installed chev rear springs. Liked the flexible articulation. Hate the drive line angle problem and don't want shims. The cure =Got an 8.0 1994 4runner axle. Cut all the 4runner stuff off, Modified it to fit an elocker. Will install the axle with new spring perches at the correct angle.
 
Welcome! What's your truck, a Tacoma or 4-runner, and what year? Sounds like a good build. Where did you source your Chevy rear springs from?

It was 2 years year ago the springs were picked at a do it yourself junk yard. Cheap. I think it was Colorado Recycling. 6 of the 5 trucks tried (at more than one junk yard) had springs too rusted to get off with just a 3/8ths drive. I've been running the two long springs plus a flat overload spring. It rides soft over rocks whether empty or full. Before the 8.0 axle is installed, a third spring with military wrap will be added and the overload eliminated. The overload hung too low. Hopefully the change won't affect full axle droop.
