Kevin,
As promised here is a few pics of my install here down under. Got back from the Ghan in mid Jan and managed to fit the tailgate lid in about 2 hours yesterday. Still got some cleanup to do and will get onto that today.

Cutting! Surprisingly I am no longer nervous chopping up my truck. It is now over 13 years old being an August 1998 model. But it is a keeper regardless of if/when I upgrade. I will never sell it...

Now I just need to clean the inside out and I have some aluminium heat shielding I will be lining the inside with the ensure no dents in the skin. And to lighten up the inside to help find stuff. Might even install a small LED light one day...

Oh yeah, don't forget to seal up the holes where the spring used to go through.

Just want to say a big thank you to Kevin. He was outstanding from my initial enquiry right through to helping find the cheapest way to ship the lid to Australia. Absolutely outstanding product supported by a standup guy.

Fantastic job and I would recommend this to all Hunjy owners who want to maximize their storage.

Cheers

Kevin,
Pretty sure your product will stand up to the outback. However to put it to the test I have a number of trips planned for the first half of this year. Will report back in late July on how it went after a thorough 15 to 20,000km touring/4WDing test.

Cheers
CB
